SEO audits

Know what to fix. And what can wait.

An SEO audit investigates the search problems that matter to your business and turns findings into an order of work. RankNexus connects technical, content, architecture and measurement evidence with impact, dependencies, an implementation owner and a clear way to validate the next action.

A separately scoped paid diagnostic. The examples below are illustrative, not an automated scan.

Sample findings show the shape of a handover. Actual priority depends on observed evidence, business impact and implementation constraints.

The decision that matters

What decision must this audit make possible?

Define the site, market and question before collecting tool warnings. A technical review is narrower than an audit spanning content, intent and measurement. Not every business needs a separate audit before ongoing SEO.

Who it is for
Teams resolving conflicting recommendations, planning a migration or deciding where to invest next.
What shapes scope
Domains, page groups, markets, access, sampling depth and the questions to investigate.
The boundary
An audit diagnoses and prioritises. It cannot guarantee indexation, rankings, traffic, leads, sales, revenue, AI citations or rich results.

What RankNexus does

A handover built for a decision, not a warning count.

01

Evidence with a clear boundary

Use public pages, a crawl, rendered checks and authorised account data for different parts of the diagnosis. Record affected examples, the observed issue and the limits of the evidence. A sampled template review is not a check of every URL.

OutputA finding register with evidence and confidence notes.

02

An order of work

Weigh business impact, urgency, confidence, effort and dependencies. A content gap and a broken template may need different owners. A high tool score or a large warning count does not settle the priority.

OutputA roadmap explaining what comes first and why.

03

A usable handover

State the recommended action, responsible team and validation method. Discuss what is achievable with your platform and capacity. Implementation or deeper investigation outside the audit requires its own scope decision.

OutputA review conversation and developer or content-team handover.

A usable roadmap

A finding is only the beginning.

Group the evidence into decisions, assign an owner and define completion. This sample order is provisional, not a diagnosis of your website.

Prioritised handover / sampleIllustrative example

From the finding register to a release plan

  1. 01
    Investigate first

    Confirm an unintended indexing exclusion

    Owner: Technical SEO + developer

Validation: Capture the directive and affected page group, agree intent, then retest the released change.

  2. 02
    Plan next

Connect a useful category to navigation

    Owner: SEO + platform owner

Validation: Review placement and template dependencies. Check discoverable HTML links after release.

  3. 03
    Develop with evidence

    Answer a recurring buyer question

Owner: Content lead + subject expert

Validation: Approve the brief, verify claims and review the published page against its intended purpose.

What we agree together

A defined investigation

Agree domains, selected templates, markets and available history. Additional languages, deeper content review or extra systems change the scope.

Appropriate access

You retain ownership. Search Console, analytics, CMS context and developer input can improve the diagnosis. A public-only review is possible, with missing evidence and history stated explicitly.

A decision and delivery owner

Your team confirms priorities and practical constraints. We make development and approval dependencies visible rather than treating every recommendation as an easy fix.

Review the work honestly

Practical questions

SEO audits, explained.

How much does an SEO audit cost?

The audit is a separately scoped paid project. Price depends on the site, markets, access and depth of investigation. We agree a project fee before work begins; a warning count does not determine the value of the investigation. The $1,500/month Search Growth starting price relates to ongoing work, not an audit fee.

How long does an audit take?

Timing follows the agreed site boundary, access, review depth and availability of the people needed to interpret findings. We agree the delivery plan before work begins. A migration, unexplained change or conflicting recommendations can justify a focused review; an introductory conversation is not a completed audit.

Will you fix the issues or work with our developer?

We can define tickets and collaborate with the appropriate owner. Implementation may be included only where explicitly agreed, or scoped separately. The handover records dependencies and acceptance checks. Completing the report does not mean the recommendations have been released or that results are guaranteed.

A useful next conversation

Start with the decision you need the audit to resolve.

Tell us about the website, the decision you face and who will own implementation. We will use that context to discuss the right scope.
